Fado Violado is a musical project that crosses fado and flamenco. In 2008, Ana Pinhal and Francisco Almeida were in Spain in a school in Seville studying an art form that wasn’t theirs, Flamenco. At that time they didn’t knew much about their musical culture, more specifically Fado. It was the nostalgia that made them sing their culture, It was at that point that the repertoire of Fado Violado started being built. Now the project as been presented in Portugal, Spain, France, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and The Netherlands. Their first album ‘A Jangada de Pedra’ was released in 2015 and in 2019 they are releasing a new album.
