The Copla Guitar Ensemble, composed of six guitarists, offers an attractive and original training. Indeed, the formula of the sextet contributes to bring a dynamism, a charm and a musical movement that only the guitar can create.
As the guitar is a solo instrument, because of its polyphonic importance, the guitar sextet offers a richer palette of sounds and colors. The repertoire covers a wide range from traditional music to classical music, from the 18th century to the present day: Spanish, South American and French and Mediterranean music are widely represented.
These musicians, first prize of the National Conservatories of Music, of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, having in common the teaching of the Master Alberto Ponce, especially during courses and academies in Europe, are teachers of guitar in the Conservatories of music of the PACA region.
The guitarists from the Copla ensemble have participated in various recordings such as Emilio Pujol's Complete Music, or in recital CDs. Given the success of their album "Falsetas", their second recording "Esquina" naturally supports the maturity of their original musical discourse. They are currently preparing their third CD ranging from Italian music to Spain.
The mix of these six different but complementary personalities contributes to the richness of this ensemble.
