Alice Brandão was born in 2000 in Barcelos, Portugal. At the age of ten she started her classical guitar studies with Rui Gama and 5 years later, in 2015, she was admitted in the Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian. In 2018, she joined Dusan Bogdanovic's class at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she currently studies with Judicael Perroy. Has participated in the 15th Guitar’Essonne Festival and Salon des Luthiers in Paris (2018) with the Orquestra de Guitarras da Academia de Música e Dança do Fundão. Has also participated in the II Estágio Internacional de Cordas Dedilhadas with Leo Brouwer as conductor (2018). Invited by Jeremy Jouve, performed solo during the 1st edition of the Festival en Alpes in Chambèry, France (2019). Has done several masterclass with Stepan Rak, Fabio Montomoli, Tilman Hoppstock, Zoran Dukic, Fabio Zanon, Gary Ryan, Dejan Ivanovic, Derek Gripper, Rafael Aguirre, Eden-Stell Duo and Brian Head. Was awarded in several Guitar competitions since 2014, collecting around 10 prizes.
